This is one of several active farms which once thrived at the upper end of Nant Ffrancon in Eryri. Nowadays very few can be called working farms having become holiday accommodation, bunk houses or hostels. 
Maes Caradog is situated on the peaceful single track road that leads up Nant Francon on its western side. A much more satisfying way to get to Ogwen Cottage.
