Moel y Gest is the distinctive hill which dominates Porthmadog and its nearby environs. It is only 262 metres high but because it stands isolated away from any other high ground it appears higher. It is an easy walk to both its summits with spectacular views in all direction, north to the mountains and south to the sea and coast.
