Portmeirion - An Artist's Perspective.

Portmeirion and all its aspects through the eyes of an artist. Rob Piercy has been involved with Portmeirion for a very long time, from the time when as a young boy he, with a group of friends would sneak in to play in the woodland beyond the village, known as 'Y Gwyllt'.
Today his visit do not have to be so clandestine, he is welcome to come and go as he wishes, something he loves. There is an aura about the place especially when the trippers have gone home.
The book is a collaboration between Rob and the publisher who also happens to be Wales's premier bard. Therefore the book combines his paintings and drawings with Myrddin ap Dafydd beautiful poetry, sonnets, and englynion. These wonderful poems are of course written in the Welsh Language, but the poet has been graceful enough to write an excellent explication on each piece.
